Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
This policy explains how the VMS Monitor mobile app (the “app”) handles your data. The app is published by Aleksei Govorovskii (the “developer”).
Summary
The app is a client for a video surveillance server that you choose. It talks to that server directly. The developer does not operate that server, does not receive your video, and does not run analytics, advertising or tracking in the app.
Data stored on your device
- Connection settings — server addresses, user names and passwords you enter. They are stored on the device (passwords in the system keychain) and are used only to connect to the servers you configured.
- App preferences — layout, sorting and similar settings.
- Cached data — camera previews and recently viewed items, kept temporarily to speed up the interface. Removing the app removes this data.
Data sent to your server
When you connect, the app sends your credentials and requests for video, events and camera commands to the server address you entered. What that server logs or stores is governed by the policy of the organisation that operates it.
Photos and files
Saving a snapshot or a video fragment writes it to your device only, and requires your permission. Nothing is uploaded anywhere by the app.
Diagnostics
The app contains no third‑party analytics or advertising SDKs. If you report a problem by email, any logs or screenshots you attach are used solely to investigate that problem.
Children
The app is a professional tool and is not directed at children.
Your choices
You can delete stored servers and credentials inside the app, revoke photo permissions in the system settings, and remove all locally stored data by uninstalling the app. To request information about data held by the surveillance system itself, contact the organisation that operates the server.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
