These terms govern your use of the VMS Monitor mobile app (the “app”), published by Aleksei Govorovskii (the “developer”). By installing or using the app you accept them.
Licence
You get a free, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control. The app is licensed, not sold. All rights not granted here remain with the developer and its licensors.
What the app is
The app is a client. It displays video and data from a video surveillance server that you configure, and sends the commands you issue to that server. It does not store your video and does not provide the surveillance service itself.
Your responsibilities
- You must be authorised to access the servers and cameras you connect to.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials and your device secure.
- You must use the app in line with the laws that apply to you, including laws on video surveillance, privacy and data protection.
Restrictions
You may not reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, remove any notices from it, or redistribute it as your own product, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
Availability
The app depends on your network connection and on the server you connect to. Features may change between versions, and a given feature is only available if the connected server supports it.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error‑free operation. The app must not be relied on as the sole means of protecting life, health or property.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, footage or profit, arising from use of or inability to use the app.
Termination
The licence ends when you stop using the app and remove it from your devices. Sections that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The current version is always published on this page.
